With reference to your letter of the 8th September (Xo40809/15) enclosing a copy of a despatch from the Governor of Hong Kong in the case of Mrs. Kiroh, the wife of a German subject, who is applying for a certificate of naturalization, I am
directed by Secretary Sir John Simon to say that he
regrets that he does not feel it in his power to

regard the evidence, as conclusive proof of Kr. Kiroh's death, and therefore so far as the question of natural-
ization is concerned he can add nothing to his letter
of the 15th May last. Sir John Simon presumes that
the effect of the letter of the 7th June has been
conveyed to Mrs. Kirch.
